The Bride, the Church and the Body ALL Belong to Christ In Matt. 16:18, Jesus told His disciples that He would build His church . At the time Jesus made this declaration His church was yet furture in its existence. Notice that at that time Jesus said "I WILL build My church", denoting its future existence.
